Hungry?

If you want drive-through fast food and you are here in Concord you have three choices--Wendy's, McDonald's, or Burger King.  That's it and that is pretty much the way it is throughout this area.  We do have Five Guys, and a Panera, and a Taco Bell (only one) and if you don't mind driving an hour away you can find one Chic-fil-a.  Now if you want pizza there is practically a pizza place on every corner.  We had a wonderful pizza at a little place in Penacook and from what everyone tells us each pizza place makes great pizza.  Concord is the state capital of New Hampshire but it is not really a large city.  Much smaller than the Victor Valley but probably about the same size as Fargo, North Dakota.  The reason I am mentioning this is because I thought it would be interesting to tell you about eating out in our town.  Now if you are interested in donuts there is only one choice and literally there are at least seven shops in town.  No it isn't Crispy Creme--it's Dunkin Donuts.  I am amazed when we drive by the Dunkin Donuts just up the road from us and there is always a line of cars at the drive through.  People love their donuts around here!  What you do see everywhere is small locally owned restaurants of every type.  Chinese, Mediterranean, Thai, Indian, Italian, and one Mexican food restaurant--we are working up the courage to try it out!  The places I miss the most are Del Taco and Jack in the Box but in the meantime I just enjoy a good ham, peanut butter & jelly, tuna, or cheese sandwich each day and hope that Chic fil-a comes just a little closer!
