Daniel Webster

Daniel Webster
In New Hampshire Daniel Webster is a pretty important figure in history.  In front of the State Capitol there is a statue of him and we found his birth place while Rachel was here.  He was born in 1782 in Franklin, NH.  He was a lawyer and served 10 years in the House of Representative representing New Hampshire and 19 years in the Senate.  He was known for his great skill as an orator.  He died in 1852 after a fall from his horse.  In case you may think that the Webster dictionary was named after him you would be wrong.  Noah Webster was the dictionary man.
