Rhode Island Audubon Conservatory

Scott and I spent a couple of hours at a bird preserve.  We actually followed a group of two year olds who were celebrating their friends birthday.  As a result we didn't see many birds!  The area was beautiful and while there we did see some snakes who were just born, three colorful turtles, a bat, and lots of robins and English sparrows.  The volunteer told us that there were ospreys who had just come and were starting to build their nests.  We couldn't find any but we did find several mallard ducks.  The preserve was beautiful and actually very peaceful.  In the building they had several displays with various aspects of the wildlife in the area.  The muskrats were really cool.
