I had a chuckle when I drove behind a mini-van and read the sticker on the back window.
"Honk if a kid falls out!"

This morning Meg left for her archeological dig in the four corners area. She will be roughing it for five weeks! I sure hope they took lots of sunscreen. I can't wait to hear all the details for her trip when she returns!

Lincoln said he had a great time in Africa but because his phone was stolen at a soccer game on his first days there he only had a few pictures to share. Hopefully more are coming in from the people in charge of the program but they are touring in Europe before they head home. Hopefully more pictures will follow!
All I can say about these two is that I was in awe of their scuba diving. Scared to death but awed. I have never been so happy to see them walk out of the water once the first dive was complete! But once wasn't enough for them. A few days later they did another dive but this time off of a chartered boat. The excitement of that dive was that two sharks decided to join their diving party. No injuries just excitement that they got to see them. I didn't get pictures of the second dive but the second trip I think was the one they enjoyed the most. But they didn't bring back the any treasures like they did on the first dive. Perry won with a man's tennis shoe and a little girl's pineapple sunglasses!
Ava has been participating in a game night with other kids in the stake. Each time they meet they have a special activity for all the youth to do. The picture below was a color night and coming up is an outdoor movie night. I love people who reach out to the youth and invite them to come together for some fun!
This weekend the California Duncans went to the Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park. They camped at Manzanita Lake. While there Caleb and Ava earned their junior ranger badges and they hiked natures trails. They went to a giant rock that had been thrown 3 miles from the eruption of Mt. Lassen when it erupted in 1921. They also found a boiling pool of mud and another boiling pool of sulfur water that smelled like rotten eggs. This was also a result of the 1921 volcanic activity. Uncle Andy said they had a great time camping, hiking, seeing cool animals and plants, playing in steams and eating great campfire food.
