I was able to attend Jane's concert tonight. They all did such a good job and I loved being a part of it. Highland High is known for its outstanding music program and they didn't disappoint. One of my favorite parts is when the members of the orchestra leave the stage and come down in the audience to serenade us

Caleb's Adventure
Caleb enjoyed his 6th grade field trip to Sonora, California to a camp in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. He spent two nights and days and had a great time. His only complaint was that it was very cold. He had a great time doing different activities while he was there.

The Florida Duncan's
When you live in Florida you watch for alligators. Today Evangeline and Owen found one! Fortunately, they didn't have a really close encounter! Thanks for the pictures. I love to show all of the families what is happening with each of you!

National Anthem
When you live in North Dakota and a blizzard is on its way. What do you do? Go to a hockey game so your body is completely numbed by the cold before the storm hits! In this case Peter and his school choir performed the National Anthem to start off the game with the local team. Way to go Peter! Being the amazing family that our North Dakota Duncan's are--they came along so Peter wouldn't have to be the only one freezing! By the way Uncle Ben, have you ever thought that a knitted cap would be a good idea since your hair is no longer providing any protection. Just saying!!
Peter enjoyed little a little puck picking during one of the breaks. |

2023 Goal
Aunt Amy sat down with each of the kids at the beginning of the year and helped them choose some goals they wanted to accomplish in the coming year. Eden told her mom that she wanted to have a Book Club with some of her friends from school and church. They sent out invitations and the first meeting happened last last Saturday. The book for the month was 100 Dresses. It was beautifully done with a tea party luncheon after the book discussion. Eight of Eden's friends were able to come and it sounds like everyone had a great time. Eden taught the girls how to make an Origami dress that they took home afterwards. I've included some pictures of the festivities. Each girl will be given a journal at the next meeting to write their thoughts about the books they are reading each month. Eden shared with me a quote that she liked from the book this month. "After a long long time she reached an important conclusion. She would never stand by and say nothing again." Next month they will be reading The Secret Garden.

Done!
Aunt Cathy had a special project. I'd call it a "labor of love" to recognize generations of family. She has meticulously collected and framed pictures of family on the Duncan, Allred, and Lambert family. I can't wait for the next visit to see the completion of such a worthwhile family project.

Cosmo's New Friends!
Ruth and her friends enjoyed the BYU Basketball game last night. And while there she met a new friend--the BYU mascot, Cosmo the Cougar!
