Class of 2025

After the orientation all the incoming freshmen came over to the football stadium for the annual Y picture.  Jane was there but I'm not sure if Ava was because of her colorguard activities.

Ava's Debut!

The Whitney's didn't have tickets for the BYU game so they stayed outside the stadium and listened and enjoyed the enthusiasm they were hearing from inside.  At half time they were invited to come in and watch the rest of the game!  Uncle Christian went down and took this video of Ava.  She's on the back row of the performers!

Ruth & Jane

Ruth and Jane are settling into their new apartments and here are a couple of pictures of views from their new digs.  After working all day to put everything in order they enjoyed some football together!

Jeremy

Uncle Ben drove Jeremy to Lincoln, Nebraska where he will be attending the University of Nebraska.  He helped him settle in before heading back home.

Meet Moxie!

Aunt Angela heard what sounded like kittens crying under some branches in  their back yard.  She found three kittens but no momma.  She put them in a box and left them in case their mother came for them.  She eventually showed up and took the first one off and then the second one, but one was left behind.  She probably knew that her little kitty would get plenty of love if she wasn't able to come back.  So now the CA Duncan's have a new baby kitten who they are bottle feeding and loving on.  Kudos to Uncle Andy for making the new pet feel welcomed even if he is not much of a cat lover--because he loves birds more.  At least now there will be one less cat outside!

Aunt Amy

I think Aunt Amy has discovered one of her special gifts when she was hired to be a teacher at a nearby preschool.  I picked her up from work today and she came out with a big smile of her face, blood on her sleeve, pee on her skirt, and boogers on her sleeve and in her hair.  And then she told me the stories that went with each.  I took a picture of the school where she is working so I thought I'd share it with you.

Duncan

Aunt Amy told Duncan he was in charge of making his own lunch today.  So he did!

The Illinois Duncans

Aunt Becky wrote: We had a great visit with Miriam this past weekend.  She showed us the lab she works in, the picture of her in a building is her desk in the lab.  The blue bird is actually a type of pigeon we saw while at the zoo and aquarium in Pittsburgh.  The deer and city skyline were both seen on our walk near Miriam's apartment (we saw almost a dozen deer on our walk.  It's a park a couple of blocks from her place)  And of course her new cat, who we all thought was adorable.

Will & Abby

Will and I went  to St. George this week to see the muscial Newsies.  We stayed the night in Snow Canyon State Park.  We saw the play on Thursday and then we looked at some lava tubes and went to the Temple before we came home.

Company's Welcome!

I visited my friend last weekend and she inspired me with her cute redecorated bathroom.  By the time I got back to the house I had a determination that I was going to redo my guest bedroom and bathroom.  After gathering all the items for the redo I set to work this morning.  Unfortunately, after the first project I took a nasty tumble off the step stool and ended up on the ground with a tweaked knee and many bruises-- but all is well.  I was able to drag myself to the rocker in the guest bedroom and hoist myself up.  I'm limping but I am alive!!!  And my new redecoration project is wonderful and worth the tumble!
