President Uchdorf said, "God is among us--and is personally involved in our lives and actively guiding His children. When the hard season is long, remember, God has never ceased to be faithful, and you are not the person He is going to let slip through the cracks. Holding onto God will always be worth it, no matter how long it takes. Don't let your struggle become your identity. Don't define yourself as the one with the hard and disappointing life. Guard yourself from becoming resentful about how long it's taking. Don't forget to remember all the years God has been faithful to you. The enemy will tempt you by reminding you how tired you are of trying. He will invite you to grow bitter roots that will grow to choke up your heart--do not accept. In these seasons be honest with God. Tell Him you need His strength. Tell Him that the lies feel true, and ask Him to intervene. There is more that is happening in this season than you realize. Every day make the small choice to cling to life to God, and remember His goodness. It takes genuine, unrelenting faith to wake up to the same storm, the same unanswered prayer, in the same unchanged siituation, and still say with confidence, "Lord, you are faithful and I still trust you." True courage is not found in the absence of waiting, but in the choice to praise God through it."
It is not just the end of the journey that counts. It's also the journey. It's how we get there. It's who we are becoming along the way and the good we are doing today.

Pop Tart Bowl Game
Last night I put away all my tailgate party decorations. What a fun time we have had watching the BYU football team make one win after another this season. It was pretty quiet here after the first half but things definitely picked up in the fourth quarter and we were all gritting our teeth. Here is a picture of us when Johnson intercepted the ball in the end zone and sealed our victory! GO COUGS!!!

The Giving Machine
Today Graham and Eden and I made our annual trip to the Light the World Giving Machine in downtown Gilbert. Graham chose a baby goat, Eden a sewing kit, and I chose a diaper bag with all the items a new mom would need. Then we went to Baskin and Robins for ice cream.

Tis the Season
Eden was chosen to play the part of Mary in the Ward Christmas party. Can't think of a better choice!
Gingerbread Decorating Time
Last night the Whitney kids came for our decorating party. Eden brought her friend and they did such a great job. I reminded Graham that when we first started doing this we had to stand by him squeezing the frosting on so he could put in the decorations. Not anymore. He did a great job! I was afraid that Duncan might have outgrown this activity but he was amazing. I love traditions!
