Old Sturbridge Village

Our Saturday adventure this weekend took us back in time to the early 1800s where a rural village was recreated.  There were many wonderful historians and artisans who made the experience come alive.  As we walked about I tried to imagine the adults and children going about their daily life.  The sounds of children playing, the commands of the farmers to their horses and oxen, the laughing, the scolding, and the calling of mothers for their children to come home as the day was coming to a close.  It felt good to be there and well worth the drive.
