I got an email this week from our great nephew Stone Roberts (Grandpa's sister's grandson) who is serving his mission in Italy. I write to him each month to let him know I love him and encourage him as he serves his mission. I mentioned early in the year that his great Uncle Scott at one time on his mission had serve in Lugano, Switzerland. It was the place he talked about the most because he loved it and was sad that because there were so many Italian speakers that they transfered the area into the Italy mission. A woman who grandpa had taught while there later joined the church. In his email he shared the following: "I was thinking of you this last week. I had an exchange up in Lugano. It has been reopened to the Elders. It is a very beautiful place. We found 5 people that day that were open to coming to church which was super cool! We also had a lesson that night with friends of the missionaries in that area. It was one of those lessons where we felt like we were really suppose to be there. Especially looking back." I loved that he was in the same town Grandpa had served in over 50 years ago. Here's some pictures he included in his letter.
