Once the garage sale was over and all of my leftovers were gone I wanted to give back to Aunt Amy and Uncle Christian for being so nice to help me get settled in to my new place. So Aunt Amy and I got busy in their garage and spent a week sorting, organizing, donating, and cleaning up the space. It was quite a project but turned out so nice and now everything has a place, and in fact, there is one empty cabinet for future needs!
In the process of this, a sweet memory of a generous friend was brought back to me. When Lincoln was born, a teacher at Green Tree East came into my office with a gift she made for Lincoln. It was a beautiful patriotic blanket that was truly stunning. Imagine my surprise when Aunt Amy opened up a box of memories of Lincoln that was in the garage and pulled out that quilt. It was still in beautiful condition and I was able to take a picture of it with Lincoln holding it. Denise was the kind of teacher that every parent prays their child will have. She is generous beyond belief and has touched so many peoples lives and I am fortunate that she touched mine!
