We all went camping this month to Manresa State Beach. The campsite was on a bluff over the ocean with a little canyon or a long stairway down to the beach. We saw a bat, had blueberry crisp cooked on the campfire which turned out well and we could hear wild turkeys that first night. The next day I went birdwatching and saw a seal in the ocean while everyone else slept in. After we were up we packed the car then went down to the beach and hiked along the bluff over the ocean. Ava found some shells. We drove to a historic adobe site nearby before we realized they weren't open. Undeterred we went to an oceanfront seafood restaurant and had lunch. We finished off the afternoon at a wildlife area on a huge estuary called Elkhorn Slough and Caleb and I got in some extra hiking and wildlife viewing.
