Butterfly Kisses
Sister Bagley got up to bear her testimony today. She began by apologizing because she had just done so last month. I remembered it well because she asked the question, "Do you ever wish you could just pick up the phone and talk to your mom or dad just for a few minutes?" I thought at the time--oh yes I do. But she knew that wasn't possible because they have died. She told us that she has really yearned to hear her dad's voice again if only for a few minutes. She finished the thought with the fact that she knew that she would see her dad again and would be able to embrace him and her mother some day. Sister Bagley told us today that about two weeks ago she was reading the paper and noticed an article that told that in the town of Warner, NH they were going to recreate a time in history from 1945. Apparently the local radio station had interviewed various people when World Ward II ended and asked them what they thought about that. She went to the phone and called the library in Warner and asked for the lady in charge of the program. She then asked her if she could tell her who the people were that were being interviewed. She read off the name and said one of the people was a soldier who had been in Normandy but they didn't have his name. Sister Bagley knew his name! It was her father. When the librarian listened to the original tape there was a 'crackle' in the tape so they couldn't hear his name. Now 70 years later she will be hearing his voice again. I loved what she told us today. I hope you do to.
