Day 6--Big Cypress Preserve
According to Uncle Andy the preserve is one of three parks that make up the everglades. At one of the parks Ava and Caleb earned another Junior Ranger Badge. They did some hiking and got a good look at an alligator. Of course Andy enjoyed the plants, bugs and birds! From the preserve they went to Miccosukee Indian cultural center. While there they saw a man wrestle an alligator and visited a traditional village and a museum. To top it off they got to take an air-boat ride out to a traditional island homestead like the native people lived on. When they finished up they headed to a barbecue place for dinner. Apparently everyone (including Ava!) tried alligator tail.
