Missionary Moments #3--September 19, 2014
We have arrived in Concord, New Hampshire and reported into the mission office. We move into our apartment tomorrow but our furniture doesn't arrive for another week. We will sleep on an air mattress and make do until next Friday. We are both so tired of hauling suitcases in and out and look forward to hanging up our clothes. I will be able to get the bathroom set up and buy groceries tomorrow. We will be able to order our internet connection and hopefully it will be in next week. Once that happens I will update our blog and you can see many pictures and get updates on what has happened since we left Victorville almost a month ago. I heard that Perry is speaking at Stake Conference and we will be praying for his success with this great opportunity. They picked a great person to share his testimony. We are so appreciative of this missionary assignment but I do feel a little overwhelmed. I think once we get into a routine it will be much better. On Tuesday and Wednesday we are going to Boston to pick up the equipment we will need here in Concord. Grandpa is still a whiz at getting us to our destination but Chicago did throw us a little. Beautiful skyline but nasty freeways! Our new address is 36 Pinehurst St. Apt. 78, Penacook, NH 03303. The area is very pretty and several people have encouraged us to take a drive to Vermont in the next month to see the colors change. We will definitely do that. Before I close I'd like to tell all of you that I know the gospel is true. On Wednesday we were able to visit the Kirkland Temple grounds and then the Whitney store and visitors center in Kirkland, Ohio. The temple was beautiful and much bigger than I expected. The Community of Christ has done a good job of maintaining the beauty. The visitors center at the Whitney store was so informative. I am amazed at the quality of everything the church puts in place. We are a part of hastening the work and the Lord definitely is behind this great work. We love you all. I will write again next week. Love to all from Elder and Sister Duncan, Mom and Dad, but our best names--Grandpa and Grandma
