The lake is a part of the area that was made known by the Romneys during the 2012 campaign because they have a cabin on some part of the lake and they go there with their family throughout the year. It was beautiful and huge. I need a neat camera like Amy's to capture the hugeness of it I think. We plan to go back on a different day so we can do more exploring. We also discovered a Dairy Queen! You know that definitely will be an upcoming visit from us!
"So often we become so focused on the finish line that we fail to enjoy the journey." President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Sunday Drive
Scott and I have been taking drives each weekend so we can get to know the area a little better. After the morning session (which for us started at noon) we decided to drive to a nearby lake which was about 25 minutes away from where we live. Lake Winnipesaukee has 274 habitable islands and is 72 sq miles. The deepest part of the lake is 169 feet deep and is 504 feet above sea level and freezes over in mid January.
