We started in Portland. It was a little rainy for an early morning hike so we started with breakfast at Holy Donuts which were as good as we remembered. From there we explored downtown Portland and then went to the Cryptozoology Museum to get in some serious science. Our next destination was Kennebunkport. We lucked into a scarce parking space and walked around the various shops for a while and took in the quaint atmosphere. Our next destination was Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge for some nature. It was a beautiful area with lots of mushrooms and views of the surrounding estuaries. The rain was mostly done by then. We drove around admiring the fancy homes for a while then realized we were hungry. So we headed to a seafood restaurant. I got a giant lobster. Other members of our party had shrimp tacos, a lobster roll and fish and chips. After dinner we drove south to our hotel because we were running out of clothes and had to do some laundry.
