It's Getting Real!

Today Ruth received her missionary badge and other information about the beginning of her Missionary Training.  Missionaries now spend the first week at home on Zoom with other called missionaries and then they fly to an assigned Missionary Training Center.  Ruth was assigned to go to the Mexico City MTC but because of delays in visas she will now fly to Provo and do her training there.  Hopefully by the time she completes her training the visa will have come through and then she will fly directly to her mission in Xilapa, Mexico.  If it hasn't come she will become a visa waiter and will be assigned to a state mission until it arrives.

 My day starts backward.  I wake up tired and go to sleep wide awake.

The Great Salt Lake

Abby, Aunt Cathy and Uncle Bill took a little trip to the Great Salt Lake recently.  There weren't any surfers there but they did see a coyote enjoying the water.

British Columbia

For those of you who didn't know, Perry has added another aspect of his adventure taking.  He has been working and preparing to become a mountaineer.  One thing I will always say about him is that when he wants to do something he learns, takes classes, and is prepared for his next adventure.  This time he celebrated his hard work and effort to climb Mount Garibaldi Glacier and Copilot Mountain in British Columbia.  He didn't know any of the people who also were in the climbing group, but I don't doubt they were impressed with him.  I know I am!

Grandparents Day!

I got to go to school this morning with Graham and Eden for Grandparents Day.  We enjoyed breakfast together and some shopping at the Book Fair.  It was a very nice morning!

Back to School--Amman, Jordan

It has been three weeks since Lexy and Ellis arrived in Jordan for his Semester Abroad.  They are both keeping busy and have been enjoying other members of the group on outings around the area.  Ellis is working on becoming more fluent in Arabic and Lexy is also learning much and enjoying her time with a new friend whose husband is also going to school there.  I have a lot of pictures to show and if you want to see more detail you can click on the picture and it will be larger.  I'm excited about all the things my grandchildren are doing and am impressed with what world travelers they are.

Then and Now!

 In Jeremy's history class they were able to try on a World War II uniform.  I loved the picture and decided to share it with a picture of your Great Granddad in his World War II uniform and your Great Great Granddad's uniform from WW I.  I don't think Jeremy's hair would have made it past the first day though! 😂

I got an email today from my great-nephew Stone Roberts.  He is serving his mission in Milan Italy.  He sent this picture of the Milan Cathedral that he was able to visit on his P-day.
