The Message in a Story

I had a great visit with Uncle Bill on Wednesday and he shared an experience he had earlier in the week.  I found an appropriate gospel message in what he shared and wanted to pass it on to you.  Earlier I wrote about them driving down to Southern Utah where they could find an area where Eagles migrate to in the winter.  They saw about 10 eagles in a tree but at quite a distance.  They were more than happy that they did find those eagles.  The following week Uncle Bill went and picked Abby up from seminary.  As they were driving up the hill by their house he saw an eagle sitting on the top of a pole.  They stopped and admired it and then drove to the house.  He asked Abby to go in and get his camera and then he drove back and the eagle was still there and was more than willing to pose for him.

His story touched my heart and gave me a gospel perspective that I have thought of ever since.  There is so much available to us and sometimes we go out searching for something that we feel is of importance.  Sometimes we find it and sometimes it isn't to be found.  In our desire to discover we often forget that ofttimes what we seek is right in front of us.  We don't have to go far to find inspiration and instruction.  We are only required to look and to see.  Answers to our prayers often come to us in quiet moments.  A scripture verse can clarify a question or give us direction.  Sometimes it is as simple as seeing things that are right in front of us.
