Cultivating Connections

I can't even explain what a spiritual feast I enjoyed at the Women's Conference that Angela and her counselors organized for the women of their Stake.  There were four classes: Connecting with Women by developing friendships, Connecting with Family by Cultivating Relationships, Connecting with our Savior. Jesus Christ and Connecting in our Community through Service.  There was a gathering activity before the program began and each sister was asked to write a way she has or plans to connect with family, friends, or the Savior.  They then stuck their notes on a board that Andy made and Angela drew a heart on so they notes would go inside the heart.  The speakers at each program were amazing and I know I'm probably biased but Angela gave one of the most beautiful and profound talks I have heard.  They had an instant choir perform and another musical number that was beautiful   After all the classes we went back into the cultural hall again for a lovely luncheon.  We had chopped tri-tip on salad with black beans, corn, tomatoes, cheese and dressing.  On the table there were chips and homemade salsa (provided by the sisters in the Spanish Branch).  Sisters had signed up to bring cupcakes for dessert.  They also provided containers to take a cupcake to someone that they knew to tell them they were thinking of them.  I was able to get some pictures to share.
